Cisco Wireless & Mobility
CI-IUWMS
Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Mobility Services

Who should Attend:
The primary audience for this course is as follows:
- Network engineers
- Network administrators
- Network managers
- Systems engineers
The primary audience is formed of individuals that are involved in the technical handling of Cisco platforms and solutions, namely installing, configuring, operating, and troubleshooting. This is a somewhat arbitrary decision to cover only these areas because many people with Cisco certifications are called on to provide advice in network planning and design as well. In this report, the target audience will be referred to generically as “technicians.”
The secondary audience for this course is as follows:
- Network designers
- Project managers
Candidates who have passed CCNP Wireless exams (642-xxx - latest day to test September 21,2016) maybe be given credit towards earning the CCNP Wireless certification.
Please visit the CCNP wireless migration tool to help you identify the exams required.
This course is part of the following Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Professional Wireless (CCNP WIRELESS)
The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this course are as follows:
- Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1)
- Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 (ICND2)
- Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Networking Essentials (IUWNE)
It is also recommended that learners considered for this training have a basic knowledge of the following:
- Cisco Lifecycle Services
- Wireless standards (IEEE)
- Wireless regulator environment (FCC, ETSI, and so on)
- Wireless certification organization (Wi-Fi Alliance)
Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Mobility Services (IUWMS) v2.0 is a five-day instructor-led training (ILT) course that is designed to help learners prepare for the Cisco CCNP® Wireless certification, a professional level certification specializing in the wireless field. The course is a component of the CCNP Wireless curriculum. The course is designed to give learners a firm understanding of how to integrate mobility services into the network, tune and troubleshoot the WLAN, and implement indoor enterprise mesh networks. The course reinforces the instruction by providing learners with hand-on labs to ensure that learners thoroughly understand how to implement mobility services in the wireless network.
Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:
- Design the WLAN infrastructure for mobility
- Implement and manage advanced services with Cisco WCS and Cisco WCS Navigator
- Design the wireless network for context-aware services
- Implement Cisco Context-Aware Services
- Implement and manage outdoor wireless networks
The course contains these components:
- Course Introduction
- Design the WLAN Infrastructure for Mobility
- Implement and Manage Advanced Services with Cisco WCS and WCS Navigator
- Design the Wireless Network for Location
- Implement Cisco Context-Aware Services
- Implement and Manage Indoor and Outdoor Mesh Networks
